Moreton village

An ideal location for those guests who want to be close to the beautiful Jurassic coastline and the many tourist attractions on offer in and around Purbeck, Dorset, but out of the hustle and bustle that comes with staying in a B&B in busy tourist areas such as Corfe Castle or Lulworth cove, which is just 10 minute drive away.  Moreton itself boasts beautiful Walled gardens where you can relax and enjoy a coffee at the Dovecote cafe, enjoy a Dorset cream tea in the award winning Moreton tea rooms & bistro, visit St Nicholas' church and view the stunning etched windows,  visit the burial place of Lawrence of Arabia, or take a short walk down to the picturesque ford and foot bridge over the river Frome into the forest beyond.  Mallards B&B is also close to Wool, Wareham, Bovington, Dorchester & Weymouth.  We are centrally located in the heart of South Dorset countryside, close to the coast perfect for those who are travelling alone, cyclists and walkers or for those who want to just get away from it all !

Mallards B&B set in the picture postcard village of Moreton, Dorset, is the perfect base for a variety of walking & cycle routes, including Lawrence of Arabia trail and Jubilee trail and just a short drive from the B&B to the South West Coastal Path along the Jurassic coast, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door. This region known as The Purbecks, has its own micro climate and has some of the highest sun hours and average temperatures in the country.  Its coastline is recognised as nationally important for its wildlife and marine species. It is a World Heritage site. The geology is equally important and impressive, with visitors coming from around the world to study its rocks and fossils.

Mallards is approx 1.5 miles from Moreton train station which is on the main line to London Waterloo.
